Advanced settings
These optional settings let you control message appearance in Slack. Leaving them unselected preserves existing behavior — they are fully backward-compatible.Link previews
A Show/Hide dropdown that controls whether Slack automatically expands URLs in your message into preview cards. This maps to theunfurl_links parameter in the Slack API.
Set to Hide to suppress link unfurling — useful when you want to keep messages compact or avoid generating previews for URLs that don’t benefit from them.
Media previews
A Show/Hide dropdown that controls whether Slack automatically expands media (images, videos, and other media URLs) into inline preview cards. This maps to theunfurl_media parameter in the Slack API.
Set to Hide to prevent Slack from embedding media previews inline — useful when sharing links to media files where the expanded card would clutter the message.
Both settings are available in the ‘Slack - Send Message’, ‘Slack - Send Message (Advanced)’, and ‘Slack - Send Message V2’ Tool steps.
